Low Front Stable Panels – Batemans Bay

Open Front Horse Stable Design 

The low swooping stable front design maintains an open and airy feel to the overall horse stable build. Whilst allowing for more interaction between you and the horses from outside the stable box. In the case of this installation the client will get see their cheeky heads pop over the stable fronts from the lounge room window. That’s equestrian living at its best! 

Stabling your horses enables you to protect your horses from the weather, separate them during feed time to ensure they receive their correct diet, and keep them clean and ready to go when you have to get up early to attend a horse show the following day.

This stable build was located in Batemans Bay down on the south coast of NSW. The new horse stables were installed inside a custom built shed with room for a tack room and drive through horse float parking as well as 2 x 4000mm x 4000mm stables.

The stable panels were low front design with swinging doors that opened opposite each other. A dividing stable panel, with boards and bars so the horses could see each other at all times. 1350mm stable panels lined the shed walls to protect the horses legs if they were to kick out at the colourbond.

All stable panels are fully welded and hot galvanised dipped to protect the steel from corrosion. We use round bars that are safely spaced to deflect the energy of a horses kick and prevent penetration and a leg getting caught. We also use a custom steel profile to minimise the use of screws in the stables, meaning there is none to come loose overtime that may get lost in the stable bedding.  The stable infill of choice is Recycled PE Board, which not only environmentally friendly but is impervious to pests, diseases and will not rot or deteriorate.
